Magnetic Nail Polish

sephora magnetic polish

Hello Nail Art Lovers!

I know this has been a trend since last year following crackling nail art. Magnetic nails made its popularity all throughout the world, not just in Europe. And the crackle nail polish pave its way for this. I like the thought of “magnets” on it. When I first heard of it I was thinking, maybe the nails magnetizes but not. lols. It’s called magnetic because it is where you place a magnet (comes with the polish) just on top of your nails for a few seconds which incredibly forms lines after. Metallic or silver color is dominant in all magnetic nail polishes that is sold in different colors. In my place, the only brand selling it is Etude.

I haven’t tried this one out yet, but surely I will. Here’s a few other brands that are selling magnetic nail polish.

Happy New year!! 2012

Yay for my first post in 2012!!

How’s everyone? I miss blogging so badly that I thought of quitting my job. But hey no! I won’t have money then to spend for my nail art polishes so instead, I’ll just apply as a part time partner. (it’s starbucks) btw, yeah. I make good coffee, the best in town! lols.

I turned 22 last December 19, 2011.”ahh, double number”. I celebrated it first by giving my colleagues a fiesta meal from goldilocks. In turn, they gavve me  the yummy chocolate toffee nut loaf. It’s my fave chocolate cake from starbucks so far. Then on the 20th, I get a chance to celebrate it with my crazy bestfriends! It’s also the day where I curled my hair. Since I was born, I always have a straight hair. A very beautiful long, silky straight hair that was always praised by many.No need for me to rebond or relax it. I finally got the guts to say goodbye to my boring straight hair so I went directly to the salon before having a dinner with my bffs. It turned out pretty well but it almost got me into a fight with the hairdressers. They said it’ll only took me 2 hours but since my hair won’t curly easily, it took them 5 hours to curl it. We had our dinner at Casa Verde in Ayala Center Cebu. It was one of the most memorable birthdays I had. Not only because of their great specialy Baby back ribs but because of the surprise birthday song the presented to me. This is why I love my girls. In the end, I got a hard time bringing all their gifts and including the cake!

A few days after, I had another birthday celebration, this time with my besties from work. We had our dinner at Bigby’s Ayala Center Cebu. The staffs were great, very attentive to our needs and very much approachable. ^_^ Then, we went strolling around the department store, took a few photos.

I'm blessed with these from my crazy bffs. ^_^ Most of them are from Blue Magic and I immediately used the purse, wallet and mug for work.

OK, so here’s the main part of my post. The gifts I gave to my friends and sisters from Etude House. I love etude House not because Sandara Park is their endorser but because of their unque princess style packaging of each  products. I bought my fave product, the dear darling lip tints, an eyeshadow and a blush-on. One thing I like is that they also give freebies if you reach a certain amount of purchases. I already got 3 pomegranate masks.^^.

The nail polish set are just my collection. These are from Etude House.

All wrap up!!

Daily Nails ~ Pink Nets

So I called this simple design, “Pink Nets”, because I’m using pink nail polish and the accessory I added unto it is a net fabric. I love LOVE4NAILS nail art tutorial videos. She’s awesome and very creative when it comes to nail art. All of her nail art looks difficult to make but is actually simple if you watch the tutorial. I stumbled on one of her videos which is Black Lace Nails and the design is so beautiful. The black lace nails made the look so gothic and elegant. I wanted to make one since I found the same type of fabric she used in shade of light purple. Honestly, my version is horrible so I only had this on my nails for a few hours. (didn’t even last for a day).  It’s in light purple so it didn’t turned out so good with the pink shade, plus the color lightened a little bit more when I applied the topcoat. I still wanna use the same net fabric though, but I’m gonna use the black one.

Here’s the tutorial video of LOVE4NAILS on Black Lace Nails

My Version that didn’t even last for a day ^_^ lols ^_^ But I still wanna share it to you guys.

Let’s eat Ramen – My favorite snack!

Who loves ramen?! Yup, I do! I know it’s like eating a whole bunch of chillies, but still, ramen is tasty, yummy and delicious! i love Ramen, it’s my favorite snack. I love eating it though it’s hot and spicy!. *oosh*. Well, it actually depends on the brand of ramen and the amount of seasoning you add unto it. If you haven’t tried it, I suggest you should! You might not like it at first, but as you keep on eating it you’re gonna like it for sure.^^.  I’m neither Chinese nor Japanese so eating ramen’s also my one way of practicing in handling chopsticks (which i’m already expert at!)

Here’s a little tidbits about ramen from wikipedia:

Ramen (ラーメン, rāmen?, IPA: ˈrä-mən) is a Japanese noodle dish. It consists of Chinese-style wheat noodles served in a meat- or fish-based broth, often flavored with soy sauce or miso, and uses toppings such as sliced pork (チャーシュー, chāshū?), dried seaweed (海苔, nori?), kamaboko, green onions, and occasionally corn. Almost every locality in Japan has its own variation of ramen, from the tonkotsu (pork bone broth) ramen of Kyūshū to the miso ramen of Hokkaidō.

I ate my ramen with a spam, egg or luncheon meat. Either way, it’s still yummy^^

Let’s eat Pasta Garlic with Shrimps and Broccoli

Hello everyone! So aside from Nail Art, cooking is one of my passion. I love to Cook and I love to bake.  I do cook everyday and i sometimes cook special foods when I fell like cooking something (like pasta or recipes I can find on internet). Recently, i’ve been craving to eat pasta but not the ordinary ones we usually cook e.g. spaghetti and Carbonara. So I spent a little time searching for another pasta recipe and I found “Pasta Garlic with Shrimps and Broccoli” from The website features everything about style, style, food, celebrities, etc. It’s a site all about women^_^  It’s actually one of my fave recipe sites coz they not only provide recipes they also show demonstrations on how to cook the food. It’s owned by one of the local channels here and they mostly feature international dishes with a little Filipino touch.^_^

Below is the original recipe which I recommend you make especially winter season is here! (in your place). I found about this recipe like a month ago and been cooking it almost every week. My family and friends loved it so I guess you’ll love it too!

Pasta with Garlic Shrimp and Broccoli

200 grams linguini, cooked
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 cup white shrimp
1/4 cup broccoli, blanched
1 tablespoon garlic, minced
1 teaspoon all-purpose flour (i suggest you make it to 1 tablespoon)
1/3 cup Carnation Evap
2 tablespoons cream
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
Parsley, chopped for garnish

1. In a saute pan, heat oil and butter.
2. Add the shrimp. Saute for a minute then add the broccoli.
3. Add the garlic and saute until fragrant.
4. Add the flour. Gradually stir in Carnation Evap and cream.
5. Season with salt and pepper.
6. Toss in the noodles.
7. Serve on a pasta plate. Garnish with chopped parsley.

Aside from the ingredients mentioned above you can also try doing it with corns, mushrooms and ham.

First time cooking the recipe and didn't like it that much. You need to add more flour to make it thicker.
