Hello Nail Art Lovers and Wonderfuls!

Wonder Girls is my all time favorite kpop female idols. I know all of their songs except that I can’t sing it properly. I know how to read Korean but I still need more development in that area. Anyways, I found this cute french manicure on Lim’s twitter and thought of sharing it to you guys. ^_^

Glitter Royal Blue Nails + How To: Remove Glitters

Hello Nail Art Lovers!

I’ve been invited to a wedding last month with a royal blue theme. Everyone’s requested to wear something that has a touch of royal blue. I was excited since I have couple of royal blue nail polishes. I want to wear something simple and matches the bold royal blue color so I came up with a glitter gradient effect. Simplicity is beauty.

Ombre nails is a summer trend that I don’t think would die out soon. Ombre nails are created through the gradient effect which can be done in two ways.  The first one is by sponge method where you dipped the sponge in the polish of your choice and slowly dub it on top of the existing polish on your nails of different color. The second one is simply using the nail art brush, gradually minimizing the area as you put in another coat. It’s doing the half of your nails, then 1/4th of your nails.

I’ll also be teaching or encouraging you rather to utilize the foil method in taking off glitters. Nothing is harder when it comes to nail art than removing hard-to-get glitters. Removing it with a regular nail polish remover might take you forever especially if it’s acetone free.

What is an acetone?

Acetone is a clear, harsh-smelling and highly flammable liquid. It’s a solvent, capable of disintegrating even plastic. This explains why it works so quickly breaking apart and removing your nail polish. Isopropyl alcohol is typically used in the making of acetone. – more here

Nail Polish with acetone is stronger in chemicals and easily gets off the polishes on your nails. Non-acetone is an acid free nail polish remover. It is a safer acid free alternative than acetone to remove nail polish while being gentler on the cuticle. There’s no negative effect on nails if you’re going to use pure acetone. Using non-acetone takes a lot more time than using the pure-acetone.

Personally, I only use Pure-acetone nail polish removers. I’ve tried the non-acetone one and it barely takes off the polish on my nails without doing it a few more times. Plus, it’s time consuming and wastes a lot of cottons. A pure acetone nail polish remover takes off polish easily but when it comes to glitters it loses its purpose. When I used the Foil method, I realized how hassle free it is. I’ll just have to wait around 5 mins. and the glitters are gone!

Foil Method in Removing Glitters on Your Nails

Materials: Scissors, acetone, cotton, aluminum foil

Step 1: Cut 10 pieces of square sized aluminum foil that fits your entire nails.

Step 2: Soak the cotton in acetone and place it on top of your whole nails. Ensure that all sides are covered.

Step 3: Wrap the foil around your finger with the cotton still on top of your nails. Wait for 5 mins and remove it. (tighten foil wrapped around your fingers so the glitters would stick on the cotton)

Step 4: Wash your nails, then moisturize. Acetone dries out your nails so you need to moisturize it.

In case there are still glitters left, I just rub them off with the remover. 98% of the glitters stick to the cotton so you need to clean it again. This method is not the quickest way but surely is the easiest way!

Wonder Girls Yenny

Wonder Girls’ Yenny

Hello Nail Art Lovers and Wonderfuls!

The nail art tutorial I posted today is inspired by Wonder Girl’s Yenny/Park Ye Eun. She’s one of the lead vocalist of famous Korean girl group Wonder Girls. Literally, I call myself a Wonderful, Wonder Girls fans since I never get to registered as an official member. I love Korean Pop music and every time I get a glimpse of Idol’s nails, I try my best to make it so that everyone out there can have it too!

Wonder Girls topped my list of favourite girl idol groups in Korea.  I subbed to their youtube channel to keep updated, watch their live performances and sing their songs. I got extremely excited the moment I saw Yenny sporting a yellow with a black French manicure. It’s the first nail art I had since I started to grow out my nails. I’ve been into accent nails the past months because of my short nails. The tutorial is easy so hope everyone can do it!

Fruity French Manicure

Hello Nail Art Lovers!

How are you doing guys?! It’s been a while since my last upload. I feel like a whole lot of years passed by since I uploaded my latest tutorial. Jobless, yeah and that’s what keeps me from moving and making tutorials. I’m so happy right now that my nails are long. I’m excited much to shoot more nail art tutorials. Nail Art is my passion, I may not update my channel or blogs a lot but that doesn’t mean that I don’t like making nail art. There are just unavoidable circumstances I need to take which is more important than this hobby. Hopefully, if I get the job I’m applying for, I’ll be posting my travel photos. Sounds great?..yeah.. I’m currently listening to Kpop songs way back in 2009-2010 while editing my nail art vids.. Meanwhile here’s the last video I filmed last year, (it’s better late than never!) before new ones will come up.

Daily Nails ~ Silver Glitters

silver glitter nail art

Hello guys!

Woah, never thought that I could actually learn something from a photo sharing site. I joined Pinterest last week (my account:). It’s a beautiful informative website where you can learn almost anything. From hair to makeups, DIY ideas to products, fashion to cute homes. The best part are the graphics and awesome HD shots of different things with quotes. If you’re looking for something inspirational, Pinterest is definitely for you. As I browsed through the pages on nails, the most abused style of nail art is accent nails with glitters. I used glitter nail polish a lot and here’s one of my daily nail design. silver glitters.

Beginner’s Nail Art, You can do it too!

Hello Guys!

Having beautiful polished nails is a big fashion trend when it comes to the latest and hottest shades of the season but how about nail art? How many fashionistas are digging into this kind of fashion for nails? Do you know how to do nail art? Perhaps, most of you have seen gorgeous nail art design but doesn’t really know how to do it. Yep, it’s tricky! At first glance you would say, “it’s beautiful” then say, “I wanna have it on my nails but it’s difficult”. Thousands of pretty nail art designs are there and of course knowing the basics is important if you wanna make your own. Puzzled and bedazzled, that’s what nail art is!

What is Nail Art?

Nail Art is the practice of painting decorative design on your fingernails. It is a fun way to brighten up your everyday look or accessorize your special occasion outfit. There are a variety of nail art designs available, ranging from subtle and understated to funky and outrageous.

If you wanna do nail art, you first have to learn (be an expert) in applying nail polish on your nails. See image below.

Practice makes perfect, the more you do nail art the better you get on applying the nail polish. Choose a good quality polish, a known brand that won’t ruin your nails if it’s sensitive. The ff. links are guide on how to do a perfect manicure at home:

Google Nail Art and you’ll see tons of nail art how-to’s. I learned nail art through the gurus on youtube. I first started making a nail art video before having a blog. Showing how a nail art was done is best through a video (pictures work too!). I make tutorials but I’m not an expert. I, too, have a lot of things to learn about nail art. Pictures below are some of my nail art creations when I started experimenting nail art.

Hello everyone!

Missed blogging so I look around my folders and found photos that is yet to be shared with you. I got loaded with paperworks that got me busy for a long time. Also, for the LOVE of Nail art, I quit my job. Funny and stupid. Yeah, I love doing nail art more than anything else. But don’t worry, I have a new one. I’ll be focusing on this while waiting for my new job that’ll get me started soon.

Here’s another version of my leopard nail art design. (no tutorial video). It’s pretty easy and quick. Animal prints are versatile in any color as long as you make the patterns right. Example are crooked circles for leopards and wavy lines for zebras. Show me if you have your own version too!

After School Red – Into the Night Sky Nail Art

Hello everyone!

Yay! for my first video upload for 2012. I’m extremely happy after MIA-ing for a while coz I finally was able to upload a video tutorial that I’ve been craving to upload for months. lols. I’m into Kpop, this nail art tutorial is inspired by the sub-unit of Afterschool which is Afterschool-Blue. I already made a tutorial inspired by Afterschool Blue months ago.

I got loaded with a lot of stuffs when I started working. I have 2 rest days a week and often than not I spent it jamming and chilling with my friends or staying at home and do the household chores. During that time, my OS broke down so I can’t access my files from the computer which almost took forever in repairing it. My mom bought a new OS and the moment I got my  hands on the PC, I immediately took all the files and transferred it to my new laptop which is the one I’m using right now. I’ve been using my sister’s laptop since the PC broke down. Hopefully, this will be a good start for me since Youtube recently allowed to have partners from the Philippines and I’m planning on applying ^__^
